If you’re approaching from the north (Glasgow/Stirling/Perth direction), take the A9 dual carriageway southwards until you reach the junction for the A823. Turn off onto the A823 heading towards Dunfermline/Gleneagles. After approximately 1 mile on the A823 you’ll see signs for Duchally Country Estate. Take the left turn and follow the road until you reach the Wyndham Duchally Country Estate. Then following signs for The Meadows, where the Gleaneagles Hideaway is located.
If you happen to be coming via Perth, join the A9 southbound and follow the same exit onto the A823 as above, then follow the minor road and follow the signs for The Meadows.
For travellers coming from the south (for instance via the M9 from Edinburgh or via Glasgow and heading north), follow the M9 until it becomes the A9. Continue northbound along the A9 until the junction for the A823 (Crieff–Dunfermline–Gleneagles). Take that exit, then after about 1 mile on the A823, turn left following the signposts for Duchally Country Estate and continue along the minor road. Then follow the signs for The Meadows where the Gleneagles Hideaway is located.
If you’re travelling by train, your best arrival point is Gleneagles railway station, the closest station to the Gleneagles Hideaway, located roughly three miles from the resort.
From Gleneagles station, you’ll need to use a taxi to cover the final leg. There is no taxi rank at the station itself, so we recommend booking in advance or contacting one of the local taxi services.
If you’re coming from Edinburgh, depart from Edinburgh Waverley Station and catch a direct train to Gleneagles. The journey takes around one hour.
Once you reach Gleneagles station, the short drive to the Gleneagles Hideaway should take about five minutes by car.
If you are flying in, the two most convenient airports for reaching Duchally Country Estate are Edinburgh Airport (EDI) and Glasgow Airport (GLA), both of which are roughly one hour’s drive.
From Edinburgh Airport the drive takes around 50–55 minutes under normal traffic conditions. Similarly, flying into Glasgow Airport followed by a car hire or taxi gets you to the Gleneagles Hideaway in about an hour.
